Lyrics

Here are all my lyrics. You'll notice on the right side underneath the list of months is a list of my albums. Or use the search button. I am sorry things are abstract, but I kinda like it that way. *smile*

Tanglewood

Tanglewood

The evening goes and the morning comes...
Still half-dreaming and still full feeling...
You against mine and mine against yours...
Our legs and arms are one and entwined.

Don't take leave, just take my heart.
Yeah, make love one more time and never may part from our Tanglewood.

I see you like you've never been seen before...
You see me like a child,
until I look into your eyes and you feel my hand, then you see your man...you see your man.
I don't want to get out of bed and into my head...
To ask the questions with no answers, only wanting more time instead, in our Tanglewood.

Don't take leave, just take my heart.
Yeah, make love one more time and never may part from our Tanglewood.

The Wind Won't Let Me Forget

The Wind Won't Let Me Forget

Another long night into my dreams.
I take your hand but it fades out of reach.
Oh, but you don't know, because you're gone and you will never return to me, but the Wind won't let me forget.

I drive my car onto the highway.
No matter how far, it's not far enough.
Oh, but you don't know, because you've left me for new horizons and new sunsets, but the Wind won't let me forget.

Under the stars I've taken you.
Over the waters I fly to your arms, for just another wonderful moment, but you're not there,
You're gone and you'll never return to me,
But the Wind won't let me forget.

Woman Of The Roses

Woman Of The Roses

In the twilight, in the distance
I hear her voice talking to me
All close and pulled tight
Waiting for the sun to rise
She was the one that took me to
A place where the roses grew

Well I found you like a bouquet of flowers
Breathing in deep, I let you in
All closed up tight
Waiting for the sun to rise
When I found you, you were standing there
With ruby red petals falling from your hair

I love my woman of the roses
Because times goes on and she still remains
I love my woman of the roses
I can still see her smile with the same inspiration

Is it wrong to love after they’re gone?

Under the Western skies
Everywhere I look I see your eyes
The smell of your hair and your neck
Are some of the things I can't let go

Under the Western stars
Skin against skin, scar against scars
Our hands grabbing for the love and the light
In the dark

I love my woman of the roses
Because times goes on and she still remains
I love my woman of the roses
I can still see her smile with the same inspiration

Is it wrong to love after they’re gone?

Wildfire

Wildfire

Wildfire why are you burning for me?
High winds blow over the embers of your love.
Wildfire why are you burning for me?
You're gonna leave nothing but ashes in your wake.
Wildfire are you burning for me?
I’ve got nothing left to burn.

The Lightning

The Lightning

I see you. I see the light in your eyes, the dark earth and blue skies, that softly kiss your cheek.
I touch you. I touch the side of your face, your hand, our fingers embrace, pulling you close.
I hold you. I hold you in the dark, the rhythm and the spark that makes Us one and all we have is this time together in our little world.
I walk with you. We walk stride by stride, burning down from within to the tall hills surrounding our hearts.
I taste you. Your lips are like warm rain falling in the high desert of my pain that I didn't even know I had.
I love you. Like thunder from the sky, without warning, without knowing why.

The lightning strikes my soul, but this feeling leaves me cold, for I know that you will always be a part of me, but you're not mine.

Nightfall

Nightfall

In the nightfall, it lies and waits...
Which is worse? Free Will or Fate?
Like a lover, your blood is not your own.
Don't love a ghost, the love of a ghost will leave you cold.

In the nightfall, the spirit knows what burns.
The ache and hunger drink the Sun and eats the Earth.
Milk and honey, the Land of Promised Love.
Just let the ax fall down, down onto the Live Oak.

Falling into upside-down mountains...
Wading in the blue lake of your heart...
Just make sure you give the world more than forgetting.

Give the world everything...
Give the world everything.

Open Road, Open Arms

Open Road Open Arms

It's two o'clock at night, though some of you might say it's morning...I gotta long drive ahead of me and I probably will see the first light...
But I don't mind this rollin'... 'cause I know you will be with me... Your open road and open arms.
I can still remember my first cross-country journey. Driving across those yellow wheat fields by the South Dakota state line.
I was just three years old looking out my window, little did I know you would be with me...Your open road and open arms.

Open road and open arms...

I've driven a good piece of this world and some of you might say I'm crazy...that my favorite place to be is really not a place at all,
'Cause this lone stretch of the highway, it holds all my life for me...it's open road and open arms.

Open road and open arms...

Your open road...
