After a few long days of recording and engineering, my day off feels quite stony. This brain needs no drugs...
Time's Arrow...
One way. Unidirectional. Remembering the past but not the future. Unless you can go faster than the speed of light.
I have dreamt faster than the speed of light. I have remembered a moment that didn't happen yet, and seconds before it happened, I knew. The moment itself was innocuous, but the meaning was transcending. Like a tachyon we can defy the laws of Nature, but also reason. Prediction and causality fly out the window. Don't try to make sense, just let. Give in.
One of my favorite writers and perception twisting philosopher is Jorge Luis Borges, Dreamtigers, "This is a dream, a pure diversion of my will, and now that my power is limitless, I am going to cause a tiger."
Dreams... Traveling without moving, without laws, without boundary, glimpses of other worlds, a doorway to our subconscious and hidden knowledge, an antenna that can walk through walls, makers of tigers. We have more than one arrow to sling.
I close my eyes. In dreams, I dream of you.
